Michael A. Scheuermann, Partner, CPA, CGMA (March 17, 1961 – July 18, 2014)

Mike joined the firm in 1984 and later became a partner. Mike was passionate about his profession and helping others; for 30 years he shared his expertise, providing valuable financial and accounting services to individuals and business in Boone and surrounding communities.  He believed in giving back to the community and over the course of 30 years served on numerous boards and committees in the area.  Upholding and advancing the accounting profession was also very important to him; he served on the Iowa Society of CPAs Board as well.  Professionally he was a trusted advisor, respected leader, partner, mentor and friend.  His leadership, guidance, and lively and caring personality will be greatly missed.

Michael "Mike" Scheuermann

(March 17, 1961 - July 18, 2014)

 

Mike Scheuermann, age 53, of 1815 Marshall Street, died July 18,

2014, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

 

Michael Alan Scheuermann was born in Boone on March 17, 1961,

the son of Earl and Eula (Meyer) Scheuermann.

 

Mike attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and graduated from

Boone High School in 1979.

 

In 1983, Mike graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s
of Business Administration with distinction in Accounting.

 

On September 29, 1984, Mike married Renee Dittmer in Boone.

 

From 1984 to 2014, Mike worked as a CPA in the Boone, Madrid,

and Webster City offices of Henkel & Associates, PC. Mike also

owned Storage on Story.

 

While in high school, Mike enjoyed working at the former Boyd’s Dairy in Boone.

 

He collected antique cars and license plates, Budweiser and Boyd’s Dairy memorabilia, enjoyed camping and boating at Clear Lake, motorcycle riding, listening to music, and he was an avid ISU fan.

 

His greatest love was canoeing, especially the Boundary Waters area in northern Minnesota.

 

After tax season, Mike and Renee yearly attended the Minneapolis Canoe Expo in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 

Mike was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a past treasurer, Boone Jaycees, Boone Day-Breaker Kiwanis, the Iowa Society of CPA’s where he served on the Board of Directors and was presently serving as Secretary, past President of the Boone County Hospital Foundation, ISU Alumni Association, MAC (Madrid Action Committee), and 4-H Foundation.

 

Throughout his life, Mike was passionate about helping people.
